The Good Samaritan

Jesus is the Good Samaritan

This story has been on my heart the last few days. I received a very strong confirmation when I was watching this youtube channel last night.

There was a kid in london who was beaten in the riots that they are having over there. After the altercation, there were a group of people that came up to him to assist him. They got him to his feet, but after doing so, robbed him! My heart was appalled at what I witnessed! I couldn’t believe they showed no mercy!

Then God reminded of this story. The scripture today tells the story of the Good Samaritan. Jesus is the Good Samaritan! Look for Jesus in this story and think about what He wants to do for you.

The father of this world, Satan, will steal from you, try to kill you and ultimately his desire is to finally destroy you. The bible says, he is a liar and the father of lies! Don’t believe him for a second! He brings destruction every where he goes.

As you read, think about the kid in London and then put yourself in this story.

Open up your heart, mind, and soul to all that God wants to say. May it touch and change you forever in Jesus’ Name!

Scripture

Luke 10:30-35 says, Jesus replied with a story: “A jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road.

By chance a priest came along. Be when he saw the man lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road and passed him by. A temple assistant walked over and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on the other side.

Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him. Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.

Jesus asked, “Which of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by bandits?” The man  replied, “The one who showed him mercy. ” Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.”

Personal Message

Do you see yourself in this kid from London and in this story from God’s word?

If you have been beaten up by the world and you are lost, Jesus wants to be the Good Samaritan in your life. Go to Him and give Him your heart and all of yourself to Him. He loves you and He wants you! Let Him take you in His arms and bandage your wounds. He wants to restore to you what the world and the devil has taken from you. He wants to give you a great life and a future full of hope. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Follow God’s plan for your life! It is the “Only Way” to live!

I pray the Good Samaritan, Jesus, will reveal His love to you this day!                 In Jesus’ Name Amen!

God bless you,

Sandy C

The Mercy Of God

Today I wanted to focus on God’s mercy. If you are looking for mercy in your life, I pray that God will pour it out abundantly over you. The bible says, “His mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness.” Lam. 3:22-23 Whether you need mercies in difficult circumstances, for your family, in relationships, for healing in your body or even in your finances; God has a special mercy for you today. Remember, His mercies are new every day and His faithfulness toward you is great! Here are some great scriptures to meditate on about the mercy of God.

Open up your heart, mind, and spirit to all that God wants to say today. May it touch and change you forever. In Jesus’ Name!

Scripture

1 Chronicles 21:13 says, David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress, let me fall into the hands of the Lord, for His mercy is very great! (For deep distress in your life, He gives the mercy of peace)

Psalm 28:2 says, Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your most Holy place. Praise be to the Lord for He has heard my cry for mercy. (God will hear you as you cry out for His mercy)

Psalm 57:1 says, Have mercy on me O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. (If you are experiencing disaster in your life, cry out for mercy and take refuge in God. He will bring the mercies necessary for you to get through the disaster)

James 5:1 says, The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. (This means the Lord is full of both of these things, so He can never run out)!

Luke 1:50 says, His mercy extends to those who fear (respect and love) Him from generation to generation. (If you fear God, He will extend His mercy to you)

Personal Message

God’s mercies are available to you in great abundance. Whatever your needs are today, I want to encourage you to pray for His mercy. His mercies will not fail you. In Psalm 23:6 it says, “Surely goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.” I pray that God’s great mercy will pursue you all of your days and into every area of your life. I pray that your cup will overflow with His incredible mercy! In Jesus’ Name…Amen!

God bless you with mercy,

Sandy C

The Hem Of His Garment

Today I want to talk about God’s healing power. I’m going to reflect on the story of the woman who had the issue of blood for 12 years and how God healed her. If you need any kind of healing today, I pray that you will be encouraged by this message.

Open up your mind, spirit, and heart to receive just what God has to say.

Scripture

Luke 8:42-48 it says, As Jesus was on His way, the crowds almost crushed Him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for 12 years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind Him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.” But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” Then the woman seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at His feet. Then she told Him why she had touched Him and how she had been instantly healed. Then He said to her, “Daughter your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

Meditation

I cannot imagine what this woman went through. She had this issue of blood for 12 years and no one could help her. I’m sure there were times when she just wanted to give up and stop living. Here are a list of emotions I’m sure she experienced. If you need healing, maybe you will see yourself in some of these emotions. I want to encourage you today to keep the faith.

  • Depression
  • Sadness
  • Fear of the unknown
  • Desperation
  • Days where she wanted to die
  • Good days and bad days
  • Ups and Downs
  • Doubt

The same God who had the power to heal her is the same God today. The bible says, “Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.” He never changes. If you need healing, He can heal you too. Think about this story. There was power in just the hem of His garment! Look at the hem of your clothing and think about that for a moment. To me that is amazing! Imagine the fullness of God’s power through the hem of this garment flowing through and healing this woman. This woman knew that Jesus could heal her and the crowds couldn’t stop her. Her faith pushed her through all of that desperation to reach God’s healing power. Even though she faced so many  hard years, she always kept her faith that one day she would be healed.

Personal Message

Do you need healing in your body today? I want to encourage you to keep believing for that miracle of healing in your life. It may be physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually or whatever it may be. I don’t know what it is, but you and God both know. Don’t give up! His power is there for you too. By faith reach out as she did and brush the hem of His garment and be healed in Jesus’ Name.

God Bless You,

Sandy C
